...and while I do swoon over a good accent, I'm actually talking about doors, not dudes.
(Do Dutch guys have good accents? Hmm.....)
Anyhoo, daydreaming over; back to doors. If you're new to this blog and my ah-mazing proficiency at random detail dropping, you might not be aware of my master back door plan of 2011. I have only briefly mentioned it a couple times, so no harm, no foul if you weren't aware of my twitterpation.
My back door will soon be a dutch door. Be still my dutch-loving heart.
Do you love dutch doors, like I love dutch doors? Le sigh. So charming. Just like my Dutch dream man, tulips in hand.

And this last one, while not a dutch door, is such a fun color and illustrates the perfect sort of garden to have right outside.
I can't wait to start choppin' doors in half. Swoon!
JOY! Full of light and springtime, little green things sprouting, blue and green glass ... there must be a gene in our family for Dutch doors and sunlit gardens. :)
ReplyDeleteI’m just letting you know that I gave you an award today. I know it’s a silly thing, but I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy your blog. I haven’t commented much, but I read a lot, and I love your energy, your light, and thought you should know. :o)

I love love love dutch doors! Funny enough, my mom dutched my bedroom door when I was little and treated my room like a giant playpen :)

ReplyDeleteI *adore* Dutch doors, have always wanted one (or two!) in my house, but I don't own a house (yet)! One leading out to a lovely, sweet little garden would be perfect, perhaps painted a soothing sage green color.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Dutch men have *beautiful* accents! My Egyptology professor at university was Dutch, and I could listen to him lecture all day *swoon*!
Best,
Kimberly
