My Dressed Up Dresser

The black dresser in my dining room got a little blingy gift for Christmas - if you were paying close attention you may have noticed it in my Christmas home tour last month, but sharing this fun change slipped my mind until yesterday when I realized you haven't been formally introduced.

Friends, meet my fancified dresser.

What a difference new knobs can make, right? Just to refresh your memory, here's what the dresser looked like until recently (minus the lamps):

My dining room has always felt a little dark to me because of all the wood trim (which is being served eviction papers in 2012) + dark wood table + black dresser, so I've been craving something to bring a little contrast, light, and fun into the space. These fun cut glass jeweler's knobs seemed to fit the bill!

I couldn't be happier with the change. The dresser looks swell, and the pretty knobs compliment the other feminine details like her curvy little stems. She's totally a girl.

Isn't she pretty? Who else wants to buy the blue knobs from that link and stick them on a white dresser? How. cute. would. that. be. I die.

Have a wonderful weekend!
