In October I wrote about homemade Christmas gifts, and shared that I was making homemade vanilla this year. It's been a little over a month so I thought I'd share the progress and some labels I made...
They're getting there - they look a lot darker when light isn't shining through them like that.
And here's a finished bottle:
I printed the labels on regular paper, cut them out (by hand, since I discovered that my cutter has mysteriously relocated to my husband's office... um, we're gonna have to fix that.) and lightly sprayed the back with adhesive before quickly attaching them to the bottles. The bottom reads "contains vodka & vanilla beans" and "refill by adding more of either."
There's still time to throw this fun giftie together this year! There are plenty of labels available on blogs everywhere, and of course you could always make your own... but you're welcome to download these ones if they make your skirt fly up!

Thanks for those! I made vanilla, too, and it's looking good so far!
