I love touches of the outdoors, brought in. Even more, I think it's better when it's authentic; faux leaves, flowers, and berries never quite capture the unique beauty of nature with its perfectly imperfect flaws.

I've wanted to preserve some of my leaves in wax for a long time. Just think of the stained glass effect it could have in a window with light streaming through. Displays like the one above are beautiful in their simplicity, and that's the kind of thing I'm often drawn toward.
Both my front and back yards are home to maple trees that turn a glorious red orange each fall.
I think I might whip out my wax warmer and some unused white fragrance bars today and see how that goes instead of using bleached beeswax and double boilers.
What bits of nature do you bring inside for the season?

i would love to do this, too! so cool and so pretty!
I recently decorated my table by putting fresh leaves under my water goblets and around my centerpiece!! The leaves looked lovely and lasted for a couple days before they started looking sad. So easy and free!!
