I've mentioned before that my sad little garage entry is the door my family uses most of the time, and for the entire two years we've been here it's been unfinished and unusable. A functional entry is sooo important, y'all. Pretty ones are nice too, but having a dedicated space for jackets and backpacks and keys and leashes and rain boots... well, it's priceless.
So I finally added some hooks to my hook nook.
Here's a reminder of what the space looked like a week ago:
I painted the door, replaced the doorknob and spray painted the hinges, finished building the hook nook on the end of my fridge cabinet and painted both it and the paneled ceiling. It's not earth shattering, but it's made a giant difference for my family already. When the cold seasons sets in and we have scarfs and coats and boots coming out of our ears, I will be so very happy that my hook nook has hooks in it. (three cheers for project finishing!)

It doesn't matter how much space you have, make the most of it. Maybe you have a gorgeous mud room with cubbies and baskets, and maybe you have a miniature coat closet or only room for a small bench. Take a look at some of these maximized spaces:
Are you letting your entry reach its full potential?

Great job! I can see how much more useful the area would be with hooks.
I did a big re-org of my front closet last year, including adding a big utility shelf -- not the pretties thing, but it helped keep us organized. Of course summer happened, and it really needs to be decluttered and re-organized again before it gets too cold. Thanks for the inspiration!
You did a great job! That black door gives your nook some serious class!
