Today the invitations for Aidan's birthday party are going out in the mail... I think I might be more excited for this party than he is -- so many fun ideas!
I had a fun time putting them together, and they were the easiest invitations I've ever made. No Photoshop required, holla! We're keeping the party plan a secret from Aidan too, so that he gets to go through secret agent training too.
Each 6x9 manila envelope has a red "Top Secret" stamp printed on it and is finished off with a fabulous Christmas stamp, which is hands down my favorite part of the whole package. Talk about throwing enemy spies off the scent ;)
I'll post about the party when it's all done but I wanted to share these fun invitations right now because I'm geeking out hard over this one. Moose and squirrel, y'all. moose and squirrel.

I did a party similar to this. We took a bunch of his friends to a place called five wits in foxboro... it was an interactive spy adventures, complete with bombs exploding, debugging rooms, security codes, crawling through ventilation ducts, and trip wires. Awesome, right? I made them all wear black sweatshirts for our adventure (it also helped keep them all together) and gave them all badges with "AGENT (and their name)" on them that we fingerprinted before we left.
ReplyDeleteI did similar invitations... one kid actually hid the invite in his room from his parents until the day before becasue it said TOP SECRET on the envelope. :)
We did a theme similar to this, too, for my son's 10th birthday. I bought plastic fedora hats and Groucho Marx glasses for all of the boys (to disguise their identities), and we had a scavenger hunt for prizes. I cut a hole out of the center of the cake and put a hollow black ball that looked like a bomb, but filled it with tiny toys. It was so much fun!
