First off, thanks to everyone who entered the giveaway for the ScotchBlue Painter's Tape with Edge-Lock Paint Line Protector. The contest just closed, and I already have the winners (because I'm all sorts of on top of things today, aren't we impressed?)
The three winners of a ScotchBlue tape sample are BabiesandBargains, Becca, and Linh C. Ladies, I'll shoot you an email today so I can gather your shipping information!
Now onto my latest thrifty finds.
The first is a small chair I found on craigslist.
I don't know about you but I have a hard time saying no to a $5 chair. I mean unless it was some crazy vinyl lawn chair in three pieces. You understand me, right? Chairs are the bee's knees.
It does have a small crack that needs fixing near the backside of the cushion, but I think it'll work nicely in the corner of my small guest room. There's no room in there for a cushy read-a-book chair, but at least now there will be a put-your-shoes-on chair... and that will still be nice for my guests, who previously had to sit on the floor to put their shoes on. Or something. (Bed, shmed. I'm trying to justify this chair, people.)
My second $5 find is the one that makes my husband groan, and I'm pretty sure the person at the thrift store who carried it out for me felt the same way. What. ever.

It's a... mint green... faux painted... table-ish object. Hmm. It even had a wicker "tabletop" when I bought it -- maybe the world's oddest laundry hamper? Not sure.
Check out that detail:
Only don't get too attached to it, because those pineconey finial things are going.
Who is super jealous of my mint green table frame? Don't be shy, I'd be jealous too.
I would use it to hold extra blankets in my guest room .Cant see what you decide to do with it.
ReplyDeleteWhatcha doing with the finials? I can't wait to see what glorious thing you do :D
