Here it is! I'm thrilled with how the room turned out, even if it'll never look like this again because (my) boys will be (messy) boys.
(There's a lot of pictures, so be prepared!)
Before we go too far, let's remember what the room used to look like (on a messy day!)
And here's the design board I made for the space:
How did we do?
Details and sources will go up next week (update: here they are) -- if there's something specific you want to know about, make sure to ask in case I start forgetting things. Have a great weekend!

Looks great! I love the little wall mounted desk and chair!
ReplyDeleteOooo! Aaahhhh! I love it, such a fun boys room. It will even be beautiful, er handsome, handsome when it is messy.
ReplyDeleteLove the desk nook and the arrow above the bunk beds. Now, frame one of those nice, clean room pictures. Next time you tell them to clean their room, show them the picture and tell them to make it look like that again.
ReplyDeleteBahahahahaha...yeah, I know that won't work. I have boys too :)
LOVE IT! You did an amazing job as usual! i would like to know where you got the fabrics for the pillows. :)
ReplyDeleteloveeeeeeeeee this!!!! totally being pinned to my boys room inspiration board!
ReplyDeleteFantastic! You really pulled all the different colors/patterns/textures together really perfectly - that's not my strong suit so I totally appreciate people who do that well.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
Love how it turned out! I was curious on how you were going ot use the space on the other side of the bed....I think you used it perfectly! Glad the closet doors finally worked for you. How did you fix it?
ReplyDeleteI love the room. I will bookmark your blog to come back and see the details about the room. Id really like to now where you got the magazine rack. Also, not sure if the step stool is from Target, but I had one I bought years ago for my daughter and there was a recall on them.
ReplyDeleteI love it!! You did such a great job, I wonder if I can re-create in my sons space!? Hmm...
ReplyDeleteHow did you organize their clothes?
Wow the boys room looks great!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! I will make sure to include fabric & closet details :)
ReplyDeleteGreat space!! I want to know where you got that wire holder you are using for books. Such great details in this room.

ReplyDeleteLove it! Did you change the color of the pendant light "cage"? It doesn't look as bright orange as in your previous posts. I absolutely love your fun use of different colors and textures.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I'm so flattered by the positive responses :) Y'all are making my day!
ReplyDeleteErin, I can't reply to you via email so I'll answer here -- the orange is the same color, it's just hard to photograph when the light is on because of how bright the bulb is. :)
I found your post through Serenity Now. I love everything about your boys' room! SO many great ideas here!
ReplyDeleteThe boys room looks FAB!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love Shasta's idea of taking a picture of the room all pristine to show your boys what you mean by "pick up your room"!

ReplyDeleteI love this room. I used an overhead light similar to the one you used for my son's new room. However, I spray painted the inside bright green. There is so much in this room I love I don't know where to start. You really did a great job with the space design as well! Awesome!!!!!!
