Art Love: Michelle at unitedthread

Last week I the pleasure of receiving a package in the mail. Now, I'm a girl who loves any package, even a boring box of replacement checks... you still get to open it. It's like a miniature Christmas, right? It's important to enjoy the little things!

This package, however, was something special. It was a print I had ordered from an etsy shop called unitedthread, run by a woman named Michelle;  a print of an original watercolor called "Five Whales Stacked" that I knew would be perfect for my boys' room. (My oldest is following in his mom's science-loving footsteps and has adopted the whale as his favorite animal... it's mine, too!)

I found the print via Pinterest and stalked it through the internet jungle until I came upon this etsy shop and sent Michelle a message to see if I could get a copy of the whales I loved so much (it wasn't listed in the shop at the time, but I did notice it there today). She agreed right away, and when the package arrived it even contained a little thank you note - love that!

Michelle is very talented and has even been a featured seller on etsy -- hop on over there and read more about her and her creative process... and take a look at a few of my favorites out of the many prints available in her shop:

Heron

Zebras At The Water Hole

Hawk Owl

Bee Hive

Six Whales Stacked
(almost bought this one instead... love them both!)

P.S. I didn't receive anything in exchange for this post, I just loved my print so much I wanted to share her talent with you!

P.P.S. If you love these like I love these, it appears there's a 15% off sale happening at the unitedthread shop right now...

  3. Love the whale print. I have been thinking about taking out my watercolors to paint some fish for the walls of my brother's cottage. This post has inspired me to get off my butt and do it!
